What are cookies?
Cookies are small amounts of data (text files) that the server sends to the browser and which stores them on your device (computer/tablet/phone). Every time you visit the same server again, the browser sends this data back to the server.
Cookies are, simply put, information that websites transfer to your hard drive for record-keeping purposes. They save your preferences when you visit a certain page. This data is only used in aggregate and cookies do not contain personally identifiable information and cannot profile our system or collect information from your hard drive.
We use two basic types on our website. Short-term so-called "session cookies", which are only temporary and remain stored in your browser only until you close the browser, and long-term so-called "persistent cookies", which remain stored on your device much longer or until you manually delete them (time the retention of cookies on your device depends on the settings of the cookie itself and the settings of your browser).
Blocking cookies
If we use cookies on our website, you can block them at any time. To do this, you can activate browser settings that allow you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. However, if you use a browser setting that blocks all cookies (including essential cookies), you may not be able to access all or parts of our website or be able to use all or some of the features provided through the website.
I can withdraw consent to cookies
You can cancel your consent at any time - but it does not affect the legality of the processing that takes place even before you withdraw your consent.
Cookie management settings in browsers
Common Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Edge, etc.) support the management of cookies and allow you to turn off cookies in their settings. As part of their settings, you can manually delete individual cookies, block or completely prohibit their use. They can also be blocked or, conversely, allowed only for specific websites. For more detailed information, we attach links to help for settings in specific browsers.
